Near the start of the season, one of our first races was the Vellereux Cobbles, in which Viktor Huseby placed 4th, and it was smooth sailing for the team. Spirits were high, though some riders from then were satisfied at calling it quits.
"You're not gonna see me soon. I've had an OK run, but I think now it's time to relax and watch the others do the racing." Max Barting after the Gladbeck Soc.
"It's a bit unfortunate for the team, actually. They got off to a pretty bad start, and they built themselves back up again, but to not much avail. I'm ready to move on to bigger races, and my manager and I have been discussing a potential transfer." Viktor Huseby after the Odense Gadeløb.
"Myslím, že m?j ?as brzy skon?í v profesionální scén?. Jsem dost starý, bu?me up?ímní. Kéž bych m?l více úsp?chu, ale jsem š?astný s tím, co jsem ud?lal a moje p?ísp?vky do týmu."
[Translation: I think my time will soon be over in the professional scene. I am pretty old, let's be honest. I wish I had more success, but I'm happy with what I've done and my contributions to the team.] Radoslav Holoubek in an interview with a Czech newspaper.
Barting, Holoubek and Matjaz Pirnat have now gone off their seperate ways, and Viktor Huseby's transfer is being planned. It is sad to say goodbye, but we can also celebrate the new opportunities, and say hello to four new faces: Antonius Christopher Pranata (IDN), Beniamino Vatucicila (FIJ), Chee Weng Ahmad Fallanie (MLY) and Gaius Barcauan (ROU). These young talents are either getting their first chances in the spotlight, or looking for a new start to their campaigns.
"It's honestly a frightening experience, suddenly going pro. I was scouted by another team, but I didn't get in. I kept my name in the for hire lists, and eventually BKC found me, and I hope it'll be a good experience for me, and for the others." Gaius Barcauan.
"Funnily enough I knew Vatucicila before we got here, we were friends at college in Singapore. I think we'll have good chemistry together, but with the rest of the team it'll take a while to adjust." Antonius Christopher Pranata.
